Some favourites from way back when…

Melyssa and me were reminiscing about eighties music and throwing Youtube links at each other… after she went to bed, I kept searching for some of my more obscure favourites from that time, and here are some of the results:

(After the cut, as there’s a lot of videos)

One of those bands that never quite made it: Shop Assistants, I Don’t Want To Be Friends With You

One of those bands that never made it at all – actually one of the most underrated bands ever, in my opinion: Yeah Yeah Noh, Houdini

One of the most brilliant bands ever: Rip Rig & Panic, Storm the Reality Asylum

And another one by the same band, You’re My Kind of Climate

Utter Eighties cuteness: We’ve Got A Fuzzbox… And We’re Gonna Use It, Love Is the Slug

“Free your mind and your feet will follow” – Age of Chance, Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Noise

And finally… not exactly obscure, and not Eighties either – but it’s Debbie Harry: Blondie, Hanging On The Telephone

Um, okay, one last one: Heart of Glass

And one more… sorry, just couldn’t resist: In the Flesh
